Tutoring
I offer private one-on-one Orton-Gillingham tutoring for individuals ages five to adult that are experiencing reading difficulties.
This is not assistance with homework or classwork, but an explicit, systematic, direct, multi-sensory and research-based approach designed to teach reading to people with dyslexia or learning disabilities or those who have not had success with typical reading programs. Students who have not been successful with other programs, including whole-word and phonics, experience success with this individualized, multi-sensory, step-by-step approach.
I offer tutoring at the site of your child's private school or home (limited openings) or at the learning center in my home in Short Pump (on the west end of Richmond, VA).
Also Available:
- Math Tutoring - Elementary level - Diagnostic/prescriptive approach using a sequential, multi-sensory method.
Appointments:
Monday through Friday, 7 am to 8 pm as available.
Sunday, 1 pm to 6 pm as available.
Contact me today to set up a free reading or math consultation, or to inquire about availability.
